Shore Fishing on the Gitch'
October 31, 2008 - 6:31 PM - Andy "Arthur" B. stopped by my office today. Among other things, we talked fishing. He said he stopped at the French River during the week. We now have a tentative trip planned to the French.
Art (Andy) stopped by my office today. Now that he is attending the University here in Duluth, he frequents my office in the back-halves' of days. It is usually a welcome distraction. He mentioned today that earlier in the week he wandered up to the French River.
He said that there were rig fishermen there. Much to my surprise, he said he engaged the fellow fishing folk in pleasantries regarding fishing near the French.
Fishing the French on the Lake side - from the bridge to the Lake is illegal. So, the guys were fishing the shore - and having some luck at it, too.
Andy and I agreed we should hit the shore near the French tomorrow. He was going to get some spawn bags for bait. We hit the Lake at dawn.
